New AHP representative wanted for BNOS Council

By 8 September 2026News

Following the decision of Rhona Watson to step back from the role of BNOS AHP Representative, we would like to invite applications for the role, to commence this autumn. We extend our sincere thanks to Rhona for all that she has done in the role since 2021.

KEY INFORMATION
The AHP Representative will provide a strong voice for allied health professionals across the neuro-oncology community, ensuring their perspectives inform BNOS Council discussions, priorities and activities.

The role will involve engaging with the wider AHP membership to identify emerging issues and opportunities, promote multidisciplinary collaboration, develop education, encourage research, and forge communication.

Previous experience in a similar role is not necessary, but the postholder should be an enthusiastic advocate for inclusive, high-quality neuro-oncology care and have the time available to actively contribute to BNOS.

Interested candidates should contact the admin team if they have any questions or wish to speak to the current post holder about the role, and we will put you in touch. Please email administrator@bnos.org.uk

Please submit a one-page expression of interest explaining your motivation for applying and outlining:

  • your current AHP role and experience relevant to neuro-oncology
  • examples of multidisciplinary working, professional engagement, education, research or service improvement
  • how you would represent and communicate with the wider AHP community
  • the priorities or initiatives you would bring to BNOS Council.

Send your application to administrator@bnos.org.uk by 23:59 on Wednesday 30 September 2026.

Please share this with colleagues who you think may be interested in, and suitable for the role.

We look forward to hearing from you.
