This prestigious prize of £2000, offered jointly between BNOS and Brain Tumour Research goes to the individual early on in their career who has made an outstanding contribution to the field of neuro-oncology in the UK and is deemed to have the greatest potential for the future. The winner is presented with the funds at the BNOS Annual Conference and is given a platform presentation on their research portfolio. The prize money is intended to be used towards attending one (or more) neuro-oncology conferences.
Nominees should be:
- Early career researchers (within 5 years equivalent of receiving their PhD (taking into account any periods of parental leave and part-time working)), PhD students, post-doctoral researchers or research fellows*
- Clinical or basic science candidates welcome
- UK-based at the time of application
*This list is not exhaustive. If you are not sure whether you are eligible to apply, please email administrator@bnos.org.uk to enquire. The award is not open to candidates on substantive contracts or salaried University staff i.e. Professor, Reader, Senior Lecturer, Lecturer or Consultant NHS staff
