Academic Committee
The Academic Committee aims to promote and foster multidisciplinary brain tumour research and education both within the UK and with the international community.
In 2024 for the first time, we brought together researchers from preclinical and clinical backgrounds through a series of translational research webinars on current hot topics in the field, designed to progress research areas that are important to the community – these include drug development, model systems, immunotherapy and more.
We are also aligning with specialist societies to deliver joint educational sessions, leveraging expertise in key areas that support the clinical brain tumour pathway such as pathology and radiology.
We wish to support junior members with specialist research training days around grants and funding, a mentoring scheme and for our allied health care professionals a dedicated clinical study day.
Any members of the society should feel free to contact us via administrator@bnos.org.uk if they have ideas and thoughts they wish to share about what the Committee can do to support these aims.
