Short biography

I have over 20 years’ experience in neurosurgical nursing. For nearly 12 of these years, I was employed as a Specialist Nurse in Skull Base Surgery, with additional responsibility for the care of patients with spinal tumours. In April 2022, I was appointed Lead Hydrocephalus and CSF Dynamics Disorder Nurse, during which time I contributed to the collaborative European project, REVERT. Following the successful completion of this programme, I was subsequently appointed as a Hydrocephalus Consultant Nurse, a role I held until January 2025.

I place significant value on collaborative working and would seek to contribute effectively and constructively to the BNOS Council particularly, to support sound financial governance and to ensure that financial decisions are fully aligned with the Society’s strategic objectives.
