Dr James Riley

Dr James Riley MBChB MRCP MSc is a clinical oncology registrar in the West Midlands. He graduated from the University of Birmingham Medical School in 2021 and went on to complete his foundation and internal medicine training within the West Midlands. He completed an MSc in Transformative Oncology at the University of Manchester alongside his clinical work and graduated with distinction in 2025. He has published work in Neuro-Oncology, Blood and the Future Healthcare Journal and his work has been presented both nationally and internationally. 

James was recognised for his work during the Covid pandemic with an NHS parliamentary award for care and compassion. He is an Aston Villa season ticket holder and in his spare time enjoys cooking and running, and even completed his first marathon this year!
