Short biography

Mareike Thompson is a consultant clinical oncologist in Cambridge. Her current research interests include precision therapy for gliomas, and the optimisation of radiotherapy treatment for brain metastases. She has a strong interest in neuro-oncology education, and took over running the biennial ‘CNS Bootcamp’ event in 2023. CNS Bootcamp seeks to update UK healthcare professionals on the latest developments in neuro-oncology and foster collaborative professional networks. The next event will be 23^rd– 24th April 2026 at the Moller Institute in Cambridge.
