Advanced Neurosurgical Oncology Simulation Course

On Friday, 16 June, we will run a unique, one-day hands-on simulation course on brain tumour surgery with six stations:
- How to split the Sylvian fissure, handle vessels and avoid stroke
- How to use tubular retractors and tumour endoscopy
- How to perform en bloc metastatectomies with exoscopes
- How to stimulate the brain and how to monitor function intraoperatively
- How to produce and understand tractography
- How to use gliolan and ultrasonic aspirators during tumour resection
In addition, there will be brief, interactive talks on modern brain tumour management, including updates on WHO classification and proton beam therapy.
