BNOS Global Neuro-Oncology Bursaries

Applications are invited from health care professionals working in low/middle income countries for bursaries up to £2000 to attend the BNOS Annual Scientific Meeting in Birmingham from 1-3 July 2026. An additional £1000 is available to support successful applicants to spend time with clinical teams in the UK immediately before or after the conference. BNOS can help to facilitate connecting with potential host institutions. There are two bursaries available.

BNOS provides the foremost multidisciplinary neuro-oncology scientific meeting in the UK on a yearly basis. Attendance currently consists of mainly UK practitioners and invited international presenters. The care and treatment of brain tumour patients is a challenge, not only in the UK, but also in the rest of the world. There is an increasing realisation that there is much that can be done to support improvements in the global delivery of care, and that collaboration can benefit all partners.

The bursary is provided to cover visas, travel, reduced cost registration at the BNOS conference, and accommodation. Letters of support can be provided for visa purposes.

A short presentation slot at the conference on the challenges and possible solutions for the applicant is available.

Successful applicants will be expected to complete a report after the conference on the impact of the bursary to their practice.
