DESCRIPTION:The Queen Square Simulation Centre is proud to announce its 3rd annual Advanced Cranial and Advanced Spinal cadaver courses in June/July 2026\, to be held at The Griffin Institute\, Northwick Park. The courses will have two delegates per cadaver and a high faculty to delegate ratio\, giving ample opportunity to learn advanced hands-on skills from eminent faculty from London and beyond. \nThe cranial course is currently open to senior neurosurgical trainees and fellows. The spinal course is currently open to senior neurosurgical and orthopaedic trainees/post-CCT fellows (deanery and non-deanery) and junior spinal consultants. SUMMARY:Neuro-Oncology Course 2026
DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Queen Square Simulation Centre for a hands-on neuro-oncology course focused on the practical use of modern surgical adjuncts in brain tumour surgery. This one-day course is designed to give trainees meaningful hands-on exposure to technologies that increasingly shape day-to-day neuro-oncological practice. \nThe course is built around small-group\, station-based simulation sessions covering 5-ALA–guided tumour resection\, intraoperative ultrasound\, intraoperative neuromonitoring\, diffusion tensor imaging\, and minimally invasive approaches. Emphasis is placed on how these tools are used in real operative workflows\, how to interpret the information they provide\, and how they influence intraoperative decision-making. \nAll practical sessions are delivered with close faculty supervision\, allowing time for hands-on practice\, discussion\, and feedback in a high-fidelity simulation environment. SUMMARY:5th Annual Update in Neuro-Oncology
DESCRIPTION:Neuro-oncology is a rapidly evolving multi-disciplinary field\, which involves the medical\, radiation\, and surgical management of pediatric and adult patients with primary and metastatic tumors of the central nervous system (CNS) and peripheral nervous system (PNS). The field of neuro-oncology also encompasses neurogenetic syndromes\, like neurofibromatosis\, associated with nervous system tumors and various neurological complications of cancer and cancer treatments. In addition\, modern molecular neuropathology and neuroradiology concepts are essential for accurate diagnosis and classification. This three-day CME course\, the 5th Annual Update in Neuro-Oncology\, is designed to provide an international audience with a comprehensive review of the diagnosis and management of pediatric and adult patients with primary and metastatic CNS and PNS tumors\, specific neurogenetic syndromes\, and neurological complications of cancer. The target audience consists of providers and trainees involved in the care of adult and pediatric neuro-oncology patients (neurologists\, oncologists\, radiation oncologists\, neurosurgeons\, neurologists\, neuroradiologists\, and neuropathologists). The course will also be of high relevance to nurse practitioners\, physician assistants\, psychologists\, pharmacists\, nurses\, and industry professionals. \nStudents and trainees are eligible for a reduced registration fee by emailing sschwaninger@mgb.org.  The course is accredited for continuing medical education credits.
