Excellence in Oncology is
an annual international conference, committed to
disseminating latest scientific findings and
practice-changing advances in oncology. It is
organized in association with the International
Union Against Cancer (UICC), the
International Journal of Cancer (IJC) and
Wiley Blackwell.
Oncology is a
field of rapidly emerging scientific advances and of
very quickly changing standards in patient care. The
Excellence in Oncology conference
provides the scientific response to the need for a
multidisciplinary approach that promotes the
dissemination of the latest practice-changing research
and the study of cutting edge clinical practice in
Oncology. |

Audience |
|
Excellence
in Oncology will gather a multidisciplinary audience
involved in clinical
practice including medical oncologists, surgical
oncologists and radiation oncologists, pathologists,
radiologists and translational-oriented researchers. The conference will
benefit other health care professionals involved in clinical cancer care and
cancer research.

Scientific Programme
|
The Scientific Programme comprises of a
number of thematic streams including: Genetics -
Prevention - Screening - Early Diagnosis
- Treatment: Surgery, chemotherapy, hormonotherapy,
targeted therapy, Individualised treatment, radiotherapy
- Clinical trials - Translational research - Supportive
Care - Survivor's
Care.
The Scientific Programme includes
Oral Abstract Presentation Sessions, Poster Discussion
Sessions, Educational Symposia, Scientific Symposia,
Current Issues in Oncology, Clinical Problem Sessions,
Plenary Sessions, Keynote Lectures,
Lectures, Meet the Expert Sessions and
Debates.
