INTRODUCTION

Susan Short is a clinical oncologist with over 15 years experience in treating adult brain tumours. She has worked in translational neuro-oncology since completing her PhD in radiation biology applied to glioma in 1999. She  worked as a consultant at UCL and The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery from 2003 until 2012, when she moved to Leeds. She chaired the NCRI Brain Tumour Clinical Studied Group between 2006 and 2012. Susan currently heads a large translational laboratory group investigating novel treatment modalities for glioma and runs 3 national brain tumour studies.

RESEARCH

Radiation biology of glioma, optimisation of radiotherapy for glioma and meningioma, biology of micro-RNA in glioma, application of viral immunotherapy for adult glioma.
